information about the destination

Our old family farm is located in Tuuhoskylä village of Ruovesi municipality in a beautiful rural setting next to Tarjanne Lake. Our visitors can look forward to a relaxing holiday and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

The farm has belonged to the same family since at least 1625. The current buildings data back to the 18th and 19thcentury and 1934. Accommodation is provided in heritage outbuildings grouped around the yard and the guest house Eetula. Our buildings have been renovated respectfully and ecologically. The decoration elegantly combines a traditional rural style with modern ideas. Also camping is possible.

Breakfast is available for our visitors. We serve porridge made from our own oats as well as home-baked bread, pudding made with garden or wild strawberries, and home-made juice. Our meals are mostly made from home-grown and local ingredients, some of them organic. We also organise catering, sauna and meeting services for pre-booked guests. Even picnics are available.

The main building of the farm provides an ideal venue for small parties or meetings. On Tarjanne Lake, you can commune with nature and enjoy the soft heat and atmosphere of a traditional sauna or a smoke sauna.

The family includes our friendly Finnish Lapphund, Hulivili, and several farm cats. Our sheep take care of the farm’s heritage biotope and landscape management sites located next to the farm. Our fields are under organic cereals, and an environmental agritourism survey has been conducted on the farm.

Activities
